Privacy Policy

Your Information, Treated Like Ours

Connected AZ collects only what we need to do our job for you — install, support, and bill for the systems we provide. We do not sell your information. We do not share it outside the business. We do not text you marketing messages.

Effective January 1, 2026

The short version

  • We do not sell your personal information to any third party for any purpose.
  • Mobile numbers shared with us by text or through our portal are never used for marketing. We do not send promotional or solicitation texts, and we do not pass mobile numbers to advertising partners or affiliates.
  • We share information with vendors only when it's required to deliver service (e.g. our SMS carrier transmits the text, our payment processor charges your card). Those vendors are contractually bound to use it only for the service we hired them to perform.
  • You can ask us to delete your data by emailing info@connectedaz.com. We will, except where we're required to keep records (e.g. paid invoices for tax purposes).

Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy describes how Connected AZ (“Connected AZ,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected from:

  • Visitors to connectedaz.com
  • People who text, call, or email Connected AZ to request a quote, ask a question, or get support
  • Active clients we've installed systems for, including those with access to the Connected AZ client portal
  • People who fill out a form on the site or chat with the website assistant

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the services you've asked for or to operate the business:

  • Contact information — your name, business name, email address, phone number, and physical address. We collect this when you fill out a contact form, request a quote, sign a quote, become a client, or reach out for support.
  • Project and service details — the venue we're working on, the equipment we've installed, service tickets, and notes from our conversations.
  • Billing information — invoices, payment status, and (for clients who choose to enroll) saved payment methods, processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
  • SMS messages — the content of text messages you send to or receive from us. See the SMS section below for details.
  • Usage data — basic analytics about how visitors use the public site (pages viewed, approximate location from IP). We do not build advertising profiles.

SMS — phone numbers and text messages

We use SMS to talk with clients about active projects, service tickets, scheduling, and account notifications (e.g. invoice or payment confirmations). Here's the part that matters:

  • Mobile numbers are not used for marketing. We do not send promotional offers, sales blasts, drip campaigns, or solicitation texts to client mobile numbers. If you receive a text from Connected AZ, it's about something you've already engaged with us about.
  • Mobile numbers and opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates. No part of your phone number, the fact that you texted us, or the content of those messages is sold, rented, or transferred to anyone for advertising or third-party marketing. The only third party that handles your phone number is our SMS carrier (Twilio), and only for the technical purpose of transmitting the message — they are contractually prohibited from using it for their own marketing.
  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply STOP to any text from us and we will stop sending SMS to that number. You can re-enable SMS by texting us again or by asking your account contact to turn it back on.
  • Standard message and data rates may apply — depending on your mobile plan. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the email or phone below.
  • Message frequency varies — we only text when there's something to text about (a service update, a scheduling change, an invoice reminder, a reply to a question you asked).

How we use information

The information we collect is used for:

  • Quoting, scheduling, installing, and supporting the systems you hired us for
  • Communicating with you — by text, email, phone, or through the client portal — about your project, service tickets, or account
  • Sending invoices, processing payments, and keeping accurate financial records
  • Improving the public website and the experience our visitors have on it
  • Complying with legal obligations (e.g. tax records, lawful requests from authorities)

How we do not use information

  • We do not sell personal information to anyone, ever.
  • We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
  • We do not use SMS for marketing blasts or promotional messages.
  • We do not build advertising audiences from our client list or share it with ad networks.

Vendors we rely on

To run the business we use a small set of trusted vendors. Each one handles a specific job and is contractually limited to that job:

  • Twilio — transmits SMS messages to and from your phone.
  • Stripe — processes credit card payments. Full card numbers never touch our systems.
  • Microsoft 365 — handles our business email, including the support inbox.
  • Resend — sends transactional email (quote / invoice notifications, portal invites).
  • Vercel — hosts our website and client portal infrastructure.
  • Anthropic / OpenAI — power the website assistant chat. Conversation content is processed to generate replies; we do not enable training on customer conversations.

These vendors are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing or to sell it onward. We pick vendors whose terms and security posture line up with this policy.

How we protect it

Access to client data is limited to Connected AZ staff who need it to do their jobs. Authentication is enforced on the admin console and the client portal. All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS). Passwords are stored hashed; payment card numbers are stored only by our PCI-compliant payment processor, never on our own systems.

How long we keep it

We keep client records for as long as you're an active client plus a reasonable period afterward (typically seven years) so we can honor warranties, look up past installations when you call for support, and satisfy our tax / accounting obligations. Marketing leads (people who inquired but didn't become clients) are kept until you ask us to remove them.

Your choices

  • Opt out of SMS — reply STOP to any text from us.
  • See what we have — email us and we'll send back what's in your record.
  • Correct it — tell us what's wrong and we'll fix it.
  • Delete it — we'll delete what we're not legally required to keep.
  • Decline cookies — most browsers let you reject site cookies; the public site works without them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use information in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and revise the effective date at the top. For material changes that affect active clients, we'll also reach out directly.
